Faculty

The faculty for the Master of Arts in Higher Education program comprises current Elon faculty and staff committed to ensuring a culture of educational excellence. The MHE Graduate Director is a full-time faculty member in the School of Education. Elon faculty and administrators with faculty rank from the School of Education, the Center for Engaged Learning, the Center for Global Engagement, the College of Arts and Sciences, Student Life, and the President Emeritus and Vice President Emeritus teach in the program on a regular basis. Occasionally, MHE courses will be taught by individuals who are not full-time Elon employees but possess subject matter expertise.

The faculty are known as outstanding teachers, scholars and mentors; however, they put teaching and student learning first, with scholarship serving to advance their teaching. MHE faculty bring a breadth of knowledge and professional experience into the classroom. The MHE students and their faculty will form an intellectual learning community, engaging in the traditional classroom setting as well as out-of-class experiences together. The diverse nature and small size of the MHE cohort and the strong sense of community across departments at Elon ensures a relationship-based, personal learning experience for MHE students. Faculty biographies are posted on the MHE website.
