ACC 660 International Accounting

This course provides students with an understanding of accounting practices according to the International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS). Students learn the fundamentals of international accounting standards, preparation of financial statements according to IFRS, and differences between IFRS and US-GAAP. Students may travel to London to experience the process of standard setting and learn the implications of reporting under IFRS versus USGAAP through interaction with members of the International Accounting Standards Board (IASB), public accounting firms, and corporate officials.
