Confidential Options for Reporting (On & Off-Campus)

Amnesty for Victims of Sexual Misconduct, Violence, or Hazing

As noted in the Student Handbook (Amnesty for Victims of Sexual Misconduct, Violence, or Hazing) the University provides amnesty to victims who may be hesitant to report violations of this policy to University officials because they fear that that themselves may be accused of other policy violations, such as underage drinking, at the time of the incident. Educational options will be explored, but no conduct proceedings or official record will arise from a Reporting Party’s report. Records regarding the provision of amnesty may be maintained.

Reports Against Faculty or Staff

A member of the University community who wishes to make a report of sexual misconduct or interpersonal violence against a faculty member should do so according to the Faculty Grievance for Discrimination and Harassment in the Faculty Handbook.

A member of the University community who wishes to make a report of sexual misconduct or interpersonal violence against a staff member should do so according to the grievance procedures in the Staff Manual.

NOTE: Where reports are made involving an individual with multiple roles at the Institution (i.e. combination of faculty, staff, or student), the Title IX Coordinator will determine which policy and process apply in conjunction with the Associate Vice-President of Human Resource and communicate decision with appropriate parties.
