APPENDIX H - Attendance Policy

Attendance – Students are expected to attend all classes and scheduled department activities. All anticipated absences must be reported in writing to the professor. All unanticipated absences due to illness, accident, or other unexpected events must be immediately reported to the DPTE administrative assistant and to the professor of the course. Due to the intense nature of the curriculum, students are strongly encouraged to schedule medical and other personal appointments for Wednesdays, evenings, or Saturday hours to avoid class conflicts. The implications of missing class are left to the discretion of the course instructor.

Attendance during Clinical Practica -- Please refer to the attendance policies listed in the Clinical Education Handbook and in the syllabi for Clinical Practica I, II, and III and the IV Internship for attendance expectations during clinical education.
