SOC 3110 SOCIOLOGY OF FAMILIES

This course provides an investigation of the family as an institution in societies, focusing on the development and current patterns of the American family. Specific attention will be given to the intersection of gender, social class, and race/ethnicity, patterns in family formation and dissolution, sexuality and families, family problems and the future prospects for the family.
