COR 4570 FOR THE PUBLIC GOOD: EVALUATING THE EFFECTIVENESS OF CHARITY
This capstone course investigates both U.S. and global perspectives on charity. If the benefit of going to college comes with a responsibility to be a good global citizen, how does that responsibility look in practice? How does a global citizen identify the best investments of time and money and help guide societies to good choices when it comes to creating a socially just world? Through a combination of readings, discussions and hands-on work with both the creators and recipients of charity, we will answer these questions and help each student to become that responsible global citizen.
