EDU 4040 PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE II

This course is designed to expose students to their professional role through supervised field experiences. The general purpose of this course is to provide students an opportunity: to experience and reflect upon diverse educational settings; to observe and uphold the theories and principles obtained in coursework; to apply pedagogical practices and embody professional dispositions that can be monitored, reflected upon, and improved; to complete rehearsal portions of the edTPA portfolio competencies. The course is designed to promote the continued development and professional growth of prospective teachers. The professional experience implies a team relationship among the student, the Clinical Educator, and the University Supervisor. Communication between all parties around educational vision is essential for preparing quality teachers for our schools.
