EDU 4100 ASSESSMENT AND EVIDENCE-BASED PRACTICES FOR PRESCHOOL AND KINDERGARTEN STUDENTS

This course develops students' knowledge and skills for assessing and teaching a wide range of children, including dual language learners and those with exceptionalities, in preschool and kindergarten. Students are taught how to use analysis of assessment data in the design of effective and developmentally appropriate instructional practices. Emphasis is placed on content and integration of curriculum for emergent mathematics, literacy, science, social studies, and the arts. The role of sociocultural context in learning is highlighted throughout the course.
