NRS 4000 PREPARATORY SEMINAR: HEALTHCARE RELATIONSHIPS II

This course will provide foundational learning experiences for NRS 4300: Healthcare Relationships II: Disparity, Diversity, Equity and Inclusion, which is dedicated to identifying, understanding and analyzing the impact of disparity and diversity within healthcare.  Policies and practices that support equitable and inclusive healthcare will be evaluated. Through reflective activities, students will create a proposal for new policies/practices that promote the inclusive and equitable provision of healthcare.

  7. 7. Assess their ability to develop treatment plans for clients from diverse cultures.
  8. 8. Explore the importance of advocacy and develop a life-long professional commitment to cultural competency.
  9. 9. Complete all necessary travel preparedness.
