- Automatically unlocked from 6 am – 6 pm M-F. Otherwise, the doors are locked.
- Only one door is unlocked at each entrance.

- Building access help
- You are locked out of the building outside of the regular business hours:
- If you need assistance with getting into the building when it is locked, call Campus Safety and Police (336-278-5555) for assistance.
- Special Events (e.g., you need the doors unlocked at specified times):
- At least one week prior to the event, contact Campus Safety and Police to schedule special times to unlock the outside doors.
- If you do not need all of the outside doors to be unlocked during non-business times, request only the doors that are needed for the event.
Study Space Access Post-graduation
- GFC
- Building Access
- Elon typically removes card swipe building access permissions about ten days following graduation. However, to support studying for licensing board exams, recent graduates will have access to the GFC according to the following schedule:
- December graduates (ABSN, PA, and PT)
- until February 15 following graduation.
- May graduates (BSN)
- until July 31 following graduation.
- GFC Parking
- Work in progress – we are asking to extend new graduate GFC parking privileges to match the extended building access times.
- Charlotte Center
- In January 2024, there was a request by a December SHS graduate to have access to the new Elon Charlotte Center for studying. Karen Neff, Assistant Director, Charlotte Center, invited us to have our graduates reach out to her to check out a key card.
- Until there is a standing policy, please reach out to Karen directly to request that this be made available to new graduates again.
