- Students who are pursuing graduate school or a career in chemistry are advised to earn the American Chemical Society (ACS) accredited degree. For the degree to be accredited by the ACS, a student must take three courses with laboratory components beyond the ones that are listed above as required for the regular degree. Those courses could be selected from CHM 3530, CHM 4010, or CHM 4999.
