Dance Minor
A student pursuing a minor in Dance should contact the minor coordinator, Professor Casey Avaunt. No audition is required.
Minor Requirements:
Required courses: 4 sh
It is recommended to take DAN 1900 before completing the other minor requirements.
Choose one course from the following: 4 sh
DAN Electives: 12 sh
- Courses must be from at least two different dance technique courses (Jazz, West African, Modern, Improvisation, etc.) and/or dance theoretical studies (i.e. Dance Pedagogy, Somatic Theories, Dance and Gender, etc.)
- A minimum of 4 semester hours must be at the 3000 level or higher.
Total Credit Hours: 20
