EDU2810 Comparative Issues in Education - Costa Rica and Beyond

Every society has a complex set of social, economic, cultural and political factors that contribute to the form and meaning of educational institutions. This course will focus on the educational structures in Costa Rica: historical background, organization and governance, funding, teacher preparation, social realities, contemporary issues and the future of education in the country.
