ACC 6500 Accounting Analytics

This course introduces students to the process, methods, and techniques available for analyzing vast amounts of accounting data (“big data”) to assist with a forensic investigation or other strategic decisions. Students will also learn to communicate the analytic results in an accessible way to individual decision-makers. This is a project-based learning course; Students will use tools such as Power BI, SQL Server, Python, Tableau, and Excel to perform analysis.
