Professional Sales Minor
The Professional Sales minor is designed to engage students in the sales profession and create an understanding and practice of common sales methodologies, current sales management practices and allow students the opportunity to be selected to participate in nationwide sales competitions.

Select two courses from the following:

Total Credit Hours: 20
- Sport Management Majors or Minors may substitute SPT 3510 Sport Marketing for MKT 3110 Principles of Marketing
- Sport Management Majors or Minors may substitute SPT 3520 Sport Sales and Promotion for in place of MKT 4200 Customer Relationship Marketing or MKT 4210 Advanced Selling Techniques.
- Students with a major in Marketing may only double count two sales courses between their marketing major and sales minor.
Program Outcomes
Knowledge - After completing this minor the student will understand current sales and advanced selling techniques.
Skill Level - Through role-plays and simulations, the student develops a skill level for handling objections, closing the sale, managing customers and other sales personnel.
Application - The student will be able to apply selling skills to provide solutions to prospective customers.
