A Bachelor of Fine Arts degree with a major in Dance Performance and Choreography requires the completion of the Elon Core Curriculum as well as the Major Requirements listed below.

Professional Practices
All dance performance and choreography majors must enroll in this course every semester they are on campus. If they are enrolled in a Study USA or Study Abroad semester, enrollment is not required.
Modern, Ballet, and African Dance: 20 sh
Student must take each level of Ballet and Contemporary Modern class twice, 8 credit hours of Contemporary Modern III-VI and 8 credit hours of Ballet III-VI
Take four semester hours of Dance Ensemble: 4 sh
Electives: 12 sh
Select twelve semester hours the following dance electives.
At least eight at the 3000-4000 level
At least two credits from the African Diaspora.(Tap I - III, Jazz III- IV, and Hip Hop Technique & Culture)
