EDU 3040 PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE I

This course is designed to expose students to their professional role through supervised field experiences. The general purpose of this course is to provide students an opportunity: to experience and reflect upon diverse educational settings; to observe and uphold the theories and principles obtained in coursework; to apply pedagogical practices and embody professional dispositions that can be monitored, reflected upon, and improved; to complete rehearsal portions of the portfolio competencies. The course is designed to promote the continued development and professional growth of prospective teachers. The professional experience implies a team relationship among the student, the Clinical Educator, and the University Supervisor. Communication between all parties around educational vision is essential for preparing quality teachers for our schools.
