Financial Technology
The FinTech major introduces students to financial theory through the lens of emerging technology. We accomplish this by helping students understand concepts of investment and corporate decision-making as they are influenced by data management and visualization, advanced analytics techniques, such as machine learning, and modern financial tools, such as blockchain technology and automation in market making and investment strategies. Students will learn how these emerging technologies will be used in new ways going forward, and how financial decision-makers will be influenced as a result.
