Longitudinal Study Groups

The DPAS seeks to support students in their academic journeys.  During the Spring, and Summer I modules (aka M2, M3), the program hosts a group study session approximately monthly, outside of regularly scheduled class time.  These study sessions are dedicated to presenting and practicing evidence-based study strategies.

The sessions are open to all (anyone may sign up) but may also be recommended or required. For example, a student failing a graded assessment is recommended to attend by their advisor. However, students placed on Academic Warning or Probation while in these modules are required to attend.

While the facilitators of these sessions will use current course topics as the basis for study activities, these sessions should not be considered an opportunity to ask course-specific questions of the facilitator.  All student questions regarding content should be addressed to the course director.
