Healthcare Analytics Curriculum
Students are required to complete the following four 3-credit courses to earn the certificate, for a total of 12 credit hours, in 10 months and spanning three semesters. The outline below illustrates the course structure of the curriculum. All courses will be offered in the hybrid model (in person and online) and in the evening to accommodate working professionals’ schedules. To note, if students decide to pursue the MSBA or MBA at Elon, the credits can be applied toward the degree requirements.
Fall Semester (2 Courses, 6 Credits):
• HCA 5110: Applied Healthcare Statistics (3 Credits)
• HCA 5210: Healthcare Information Systems (3 Credits)
Winter Semester (1 Course, 3 Credits):
• HCA 5300: Healthcare Analytics (3 Credits)
Spring Semester (1 Course, 3 Credits):
• HCA 5600: Advanced Machine Learning for Healthcare (3 Credits)
Graduation and Certificate Requirements
To earn the Healthcare Analytics Graduate Certificate, the graduate student must:
• Have an overall minimum grade point average of 3.0 in all graduate courses.
• Successful completion of all the required graduate credit hours with passing grades (C or higher).
