Economics A.B.
Students develop critical thinking, analytical and problem-solving skills. They learn the skills needed to understand changing economic conditions, what drives institutional change and how consumer behavior may change over time. The curriculum allows for majors to pursue a broad set of interests ranging from international trade, public finance, environment, health, labor, monetary policy and development economics.
A Bachelor of Arts degree with a major in Economics requires the completion of the Elon Core Curriculum as well as the Major Requirements listed below.

- No more than 8 sh of research (ECO 4998 or ECO 4999), internship (ECO 3895 or ECO 4895), courses taken abroad (that transfer back with an ECO prefix) or independent study (ECO 3991 or ECO 4991) maybe be counted towards this requirement
