MGT 4120 Advanced Organizational Behavior

This course addresses the impact of individual, group and organizational influences on human behavior within organizations. Building on the organizational behavior topics introduced in /mgt-3230'>MGT 3230, the focus of this course is on acquiring in-depth knowledge and developing interpersonal skills through the study and application of theories and concepts related to understanding and predicting human behavior in organizations. Topics addressed include: personality, perception, job design and goal-setting, appraisal, group dynamics, decision making, cooperation and conflict, organizational structure and culture, power and organizational politics, organizational learning, innovation and change management, and organizational development.
