COR 313 LAW, FAITH AND TOLERANCE

Students will explore how different societies, and different academic disciplines, have made sense of competing views about law, faith, and tolerance. This class will begin and end with “traditional” seminar sessions, but for much of the term students will play two month-long games that are part of the Reacting to the Past project. In each game, every student will assume the role of a historical figure during a time of conflict. To win a game, a student must understand and apply ideas from core texts to persuade other students that a particular view of law, faith, and tolerance should prevail.
