ART 272 BEGINNING PRINTMAKING

This survey course introduces a range of printmaking methods, including relief, monotype, and alternative processes. Printmaking is varied, repeatable and tactile, with images printed as unique works, as multiples, or as variations, using an array of means. Students will build on the process, experiment with print media, and think creatively and critically. The students will leave this course with a basic understanding of printmaking, opening the door for a deeper exploration into the arts. Additional fee: $100.
