Consent to Touch

Consent for touch: Participation in hands-on laboratory activities is an essential component of health sciences education. In this program, you will be expected to participate in lab activities that involve touching and/or being touched by classmates, and instructors. This touch should always be professional in nature and should follow the same principles of respect and sensitive practice applicable in patient care: 1) Explain any requested disrobing and intended physical contact, and 2) Obtain consent before proceeding.
