End of Rotation Exam and Remediation Policies

Students who earn less than 70% on an EOR exam will be placed on Academic Warning by the APPC* and will be required to complete a remediation activity.  Upon successful completion of the remediation, the student will then take a second version of the rotation’s EOR exam.  The content, logistics, and timing of the remediation process will be at the discretion of the Director of Instruction and Curriculum and the Clinical Education Faculty Coordinator.

The process of remediation will consist of thoughtfully completing the EOR Remediation Plan found in Appendix H of this manual. The student must pass this second EOR attempt with a grade of 70% or higher; regardless of the grade earned, the student will receive 70% as the highest possible remediated score. If a student earns less than 70% on the 2nd attempt, then the student will be placed on Academic Probation and referred to the APPC to determine corrective action. Any student who earns < 70% on an 3rd EOR exam will be subject to dismissal.

*If a student is already on Academic Warning at the time of their failure to successfully pass an EOR they will be elevated to Academic Probation by the APPC with all of the accompanying consequences. If a student is already on Academic Probation at the time of their failure to successfully pass an EOR they will be referred to the APPC and subject to dismissal.
