Curriculum Delivery Model
The Elon University Physician Assistant Program in Charlotte is a full-time, 24-month graduate program based in Charlotte, North Carolina, with cohorts beginning each January. The curriculum consists of 114 credit hours and integrates classroom instruction, clinical skills training, and immersive patient care experiences designed to build progressively from foundational knowledge to advanced clinical reasoning. Students will complete a dedicated Clinical Skills course prior to beginning their supervised clinical practice experiences (SCPEs), ensuring readiness for hands-on patient care. The Clinical Transitions and Clinical Practice seminars are designed to support students during their supervised clinical practice experiences and to prepare them for independent clinical practice upon graduation, reinforcing professional skills, clinical reasoning, and patient-centered care in alignment with the NCCPA Competencies for the Physician Assistant Profession.
