Shadowing During Program Enrollment

While enrolled as a student in Elon University PA Program in Charlotte, “shadowing” in clinical settings that is not authorized by the Program and is not permitted. This is to assure that students do not violate health care facility credentialing procedures (HIPAA, immunization compliance, safety, etc.) and are not put in a situation where they are expected to provide patient care for which they do not have appropriate training. Examples of clinical experiences that are authorized during the program include volunteering at the school-affiliated clinics provided a student has completed all immunization requirements.
