Weather Policy

The most accurate information about the status of classes and campus services is found on the Elon’s website or by calling (336) 278-SNOW or (336) 278-RAIN. In the event of a school closing or delay of classes, a DPTE faculty representative will email your cohort with updated Module Schedule adjustments. Regardless of Elon cancelation or delay of classes due to weather, if weather conditions are so severe as to render it dangerous for students to reach the university, those who elect not to come to campus on that particular day will not be penalized for failure to do so.

Students out on clinical educational experiences are to refer to the weather policy defined in the Clinical Education Handbook for instructions.
