The Gerald Francis Center hold’s LEED Silver Certification meaning the building is sustainable and environmentally friendly.

Trash Talk: There are three bins for waste streams including compostable materials, recycling and trash that will go to the landfill. Please be mindful in the placement of your personal waste materials. Most of us are familiar with recyclables (cans, bottles, cardboard, paper, yogurt cups), but when it comes to compostables, it can get confusing. If you were eating it, it is compostable. If it has a compostable label, it is compostable. If in doubt, throw it out in the traditional trash, as one wrong item in the compost can render the entire bag fouled, and it will all go to the landfill.
