EDU 372 GARDEN BASED LEARNING

In this course students will be introduced to the philosophy and practices of garden-based learning. Topics include project-based learning, interdisciplinary curriculum development, inquiry-based instructional methods, restorative justice, mindfulness, and environmental literacy. Students will assist with the maintenance of a local school garden, plan and implement learning activities in an after school garden club for 3rd-5th graders, and collaborate with teachers who are integrating garden-based learning into their teaching.
