Graduation

Regular December Graduation : Students who complete all of the degree requirements on time are expected to participate in the December graduation ceremony.

Delayed Graduation: Requirements for participating in the December School of Health Sciences graduation ceremony for students who have not completed all degree requirements on schedule.

Students may participate in graduation ceremonies provided they have approval of the Program Director and academic Dean of the program and meet the following criteria:

1.       Must be in good academic, social, and professional standing with the University and not on academic, social, or professional probation; and

2.       Must have at least a 3.00 GPA; and

3.       Must need no more than one course requirement for graduation (the course requirement can be one class or another program requirement such as completion of a portfolio).

Students who realize they will meet the above criteria and who would like to participate in the graduation ceremony must file a request to do so with the registrar. They should also have already applied for graduation and completed a graduation audit. At the December graduation, the student’s name will be listed in the graduation program with an appropriate notation that the degree will be awarded upon completion of final requirement and the diploma folder received during the ceremony will be empty. The student’s official diploma will be mailed to the student following the completion of all degree requirements and after their official graduation date. Students may participate in only one commencement ceremony.
