Protocol for Input on Matters of Student Concern
If a student has a personal concern involving a professor or course that is not relevant to the majority of the class members, the student should speak to the professor directly. If the matter cannot be resolved, the student should bring the concern to the DPTE Chair.
If the concern might involve other members of the class, take the concern to the appropriate class representatives so they may sample class opinion to explore the extent of concern. If the concern represents the majority of the class, the class representative should bring the matter to the attention of the class professor for resolution. If the matter cannot be resolved between the class representative and the professor, take the matter to the Class Faculty Advisors, and then, if necessary to the DPTE Chair. If the matter cannot be satisfactorily resolved at that level, the concern should be brought to the Dean of the School of Health Sciences.
