GBL 299 GLOBALIZATION, SPORT AND CULTURE

This course examines globalization, sport, and the culture of the location. International travel is an essential part of the course. Students will study the effects of globalization on sport; research points of interest to be visited; and explore the country’s diverse geography, history, society, and culture. In-country activities include visits to selected cultural and historical sites. Students also interact and compete with amateur and semi-professional athletic teams, visit points of interest that they have researched and interact with locals in daily activities.
