COR 3350 Family Stories
In this interdisciplinary seminar, we will examine family relationships in the context of psychological research and literature. In our analysis, we will utilize psychological theories and research to understand developmental, social and cultural influences on family members' beliefs and behaviors, particularly as they are portrayed in novels and films. We will investigate issues related to parenting, gender and sexuality, identity formation, and more. Students will also explore their own family stories in a class project.
Prerequisite
Open to students in the third or fourth year of study.
