COR 3880 Baseball Statistics

The sport of baseball is fertile ground for sophisticated statistical analysis. Baseball executives, general managers and managers are relying on such analysis for decisions about player personnel, game situations and salaries. In this course, the students will first be presented with an overview of statistics and then apply statistical concepts to baseball. Students will also be responsible for a research project. This course is writing intensive. Open to students in the third or fourth year of study.
