POL 3160 Race to the White House
This course examines the process by which we elect the United States president. The course brings together both scholarly literature and practical examples from the day-to-day happenings of the current race to the White House. The course explores the ways in which the process affects the outcome of the election. Topics covered in the course include the nomination process, party conventions, campaign fundraising, the Electoral College, and the media’s role in the election process.
